Through Preschool at the Y, children will be introduced to the important skills of building character values, self-esteem, and improving kindergarten readiness. The YMCA Preschool program focuses on all areas of development for children of preschool age. These areas include fine and gross motor skills, physical activities, arts and crafts, science, math and counting, letters and much more. Because childhood development is so essential to the Y’s core values, it is our top priority to provide children the necessary skills and appropriate environment in which they are encouraged to be creative, independent and responsible.

At the Plano YMCA Preschool, we take responsibility of early childhood education seriously. We base our educational and guidance decisions for children on our knowledge of child development.
