Each year we host several special events, with the goal of uniting and convening our community under the mission of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. We are better together and hope to see you at one of our events; there are opportunities all year long!
Special Event - Community Prayer Breakfast
Join us for a morning of faith, fellowship, and inspiration at the Semones Family YMCA’s Annual Prayer Breakfast. This special gathering brings our community together in prayer and reflection while enjoying a meaningful keynote message and a delicious breakfast.
Date: Thursday, October 16, 2025
Time: 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Location: Semones Family YMCA
Keynote Speaker: Ivy Winfrey – Kenyan-born trailblazer and the first Black woman DJ for an NBA team with the Dallas Mavericks.
Tickets: $15 per seat / $150 per table.

Pickleball combines the best of tennis, badminton, racquetball, and table tennis! This sport is designed to enhance your mobility, balance, and hand/eye coordination, while providing an at-your-own-pace cardio exercise.
This tournament will be hosted at the Park South Family YMCA for teams of 2-4.

Special Event - Pickleball Tournament
Pickleball combines the best of tennis, badminton, racquetball, and table tennis! This sport is designed to enhance your mobility, balance, and hand/eye coordination, while providing an at-your-own-pace cardio exercise.
Be a part of our inaugural Double’s Pickleball Tournament! Participants must register based on skill level: beginner, intermediate or advanced. The winning teams will receive prizes. Registration fees include snacks and beverages. Paddles and balls will be provided as well. Participants must be at least 12 years old to register.
No refunds. However, participants will be able to receive account credit if requested by 8/27.
