Softball
Softball at the Y is designed to teach players the fundamentals of the game. Players learn through softball drills, how to catch, throw, and bat in a fun team atmosphere. The focus of our leagues is to have fun, meet new friends and play in a non-competitive environment.

Season consists of seven (7) games primarily played on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Other weeknight and Sunday games may be scheduled for make-ups due to weather or location conditions. Practices are once a week for one hour and is selected by the volunteer coach.
Participants must be in grades 1st to 6th (based on 2024-25 school year) by the session start date.
Required: All participants must wear YMCA logo jersey, batting helmet when batting, running on base and on deck (not provided), bring a glove and ball (11 inch softball), and have a water bottle. Bats are optional.
Practice and Game Locations: Semones Family Y (4332 Northaven Rd., Dallas) and other local facilities
